Spring League U6 Boys and Girls Rules

Focus: FUN
Ball Size: 3
Small Portable goals
All Players must wear shinguards.
Equipment check will be made by the referee at the start of the match, no player passes
All head coaches and Assistant coaches must be live scanned
Coach passes will be checked at field
Each game will be two(2) 20 minute halves with a 5 minute half time
6 players on the field at a time. No Goalies and two of the field players must be female at all times.
Encourage players to get involved. Do not allow players to stand by the goal
Substitutions can be made by the coaches at their discretion
Coaches will act as referee’s. One coach from each team on field at a time
When the ball goes out of bounds, a coach should use a proper throw-in to get ball back in play throwing the ball to the middle of the field
After a goal, restart with a kick-off at midfield
Teams switch sides at half time
Teams should train (1) 60 min session per week, 1 game on the weekend
No heading of the ball allowed, if this happens stop the game and the restart is an indirect free kick for the other team.
No slide tackling of any kind…no sliding trying to save a ball going out of bounds.

 

 

Spring League U8 Boys and Girls Rules

Focus: FUN, 1 v 1
Ball Size: 3
All Players must wear shinguards.
All head coaches and Assistant coaches must be live scanned.
One referee provided. 
Equipment check will be made by the referee at the start of the match, no player passes
Coach passes will be checked at field
Each game will be two(2) 20 minute halves with a 5 minute half time.
7v7 (including goal keeper); 11 players per team.
Offside rule in effect.
Illegal throw-ins are generally called by the referee at their discretion.
 Two of the field players must be female at all times
Encourage players to get involved. Do not allow players to stand by the goal
Substitutions can be made by the coaches at their discretion.
After a goal, restart with a kick-off at midfield
Teams switch sides at half time
Teams should train 1-2 times a week. Training sessions should be no longer than 70 min session, 1 game on the weekend
No heading of the ball allowed, if this happens stop the game and the restart is an indirect free kick for the other team.
No slide tackling of any kind…no sliding trying to save a ball going out of bounds.

 

Spring League U10 & U12 Boys and Girls Rules

Focus: FUN, 2V1, 2V2, 3V1, 3V2, 3V3
Ball Size: 4
All Players must wear shinguards.
All head coaches and assistant coaches must be live scanned
Equipment check will be made by the referee at the start of the match, no player passes
Coach passes will be checked at field
U10 is 7 V 7 with a goalie. Each game will be two (2) 25 minute halves with a 5 minute half time. 3 of the players must be female at all times. One referee for these games.
U12 Each game will be two (2) 30 minute halves with a 5 minute half time. 3 of the players must be female at all times. Two referee for these games.
Encourage players to get involved. Do not allow players to stand by the goal
Substitutions on any throw in, goal kick and after a goal is scored
Teams should train 2 times a week. Training sessions should be no longer than 90 min session, 1 game on the weekend
No heading of the ball allowed, if this happens stop the game and the restart is an indirect free kick for the other team.
No slide tackling of any kind…no sliding trying to save a ball going out of bounds.
All other FIFA rules apply, unless noted by the league

U16 is 6 v 6 with a goalie. Each game will be two (2) 30 minute halves with a 5 minute half time. 3 of the players must be female at all times. Two referee for these games.
