2019 Spring 7-7
FAQ

What are the divisions/ages that the players will compete in this Spring?
The divisions will be as follows (All Grades Current for the 2018 Spring Semester):
4-5th Grade Division
6-7th Grade Division
8-9th Grade Division
10-11th Grade Division
These Divisions are based on the grade in school that the player is currently in.

How much does a team cost?
Team Cost is $1600.  Maximum number of players is 15 per team.  Teams will play a minimum of 10 games.

Most coaches bring a full team.  There are opportunities to be placed on a team, but the most important thing to remember is that most teams come with a QB.  If your son is a QB, you will want to work on getting at least a group of players together.  I do get individuals that ask to play, and always have a few extra players that I do my best to place, but there are no guarantees.

What are the dates?
April 6th through May 11th
Games are played mostly on Friday night and Saturday, but we will use weeknights to accommodate scheduling issues. May 12th will be the championships, which are basically a play until you lose type of tournament.

When is the deadline to register a team?
There is a $250 deposit for each team that is due by March 1st.

How are schedules made, do you work around conflicts?
We do our best to accommodate scheduling issues, other spring sports, etc.  We will cover this at the preseason coaches meeting.  As long as there is enough advance notice for the conflicts, Elite will do our very best to ensure there are no forfeits.  In the 4 previous seasons, we have only had one forfeit that I can recall, and we are very proud of that fact.

Where are the games played?
Battle Ground Academy (3 full football fields which yields us 6 7x7 fields)

Are uniforms provided?
Each team receives Elite 7-7 shirts that they are required to wear.  This allows us to ensure that all teams have distinct colors, and that it is clear who is on what team.  This shirt is provided by the league.

What are the rules?
The rules are under review currently, and will be updated in the coming weeks.  For those of you new to the league, it is a passing league, and unless a rule change occurs, there are no running plays  .  We try to create as realistic of conditions as we can to allow our players to learn the passing game both offensively and defensively.

Some of the rules that will not change are as follows:

  • Players are down with 1-hand touch
  • Offensive possession starts at the 40 yard line
  • Games are 40 minutes, two 20 minute halves, 1 time out per half
  • TD = 6pts, INT= 3pts, Def Stop=2pts

More rules to come, but these are the gist of what we played under last year.

How are team colors decided?
Team colors are awarded on a first come, first serve basis.  I will award colors to the teams that send their deposit in, and will ask that everyone send in three options with their $250 deposit check.

All team deposits can be sent to:
