When do practices begin and how many days a week will my child practice?

5U, 6U, 8U, 12U - Practices could begin as early as the week of 03/04/19.
15U - Practices could begin as early as the week of 5/12/19. 
All coaches will have an opportunity to schedule 2 practices per week, which will typically be one weekday and one weekend time slot. Once the season begins there will be no league scheduled practices but coaches may schedule extra practices as time allows.


When will the season begin and end?

The 5U, 6U, 8U, 10U and 12U Baseball and Softball season will begin on 03/30/19 and will run until 06/08/19.
The 15U Baseball and Softball season will begin on 05/28/19 and will run until 07/17/19.

How many games per week will we played and on which days?

Typically, your child will have 2 games per week consisting of a weekday game and Saturday game. There will be occasions when you will only play one game in a week.

There will be no regular scheduled games on Wednesdays or Sundays. Wednesdays will be used if needed based on rain-outs. A game rained out on a Monday or Tuesday could be made up as early as the same Wednesday.
In the case of field constraints due to construction, Wednesdays may be added throughout the season.

When will my child hear from his/her coach about their team?

Evaluations will take place on 03/02/19 for all Baseball and Softball divisions, except 5U(T-Ball), 6U(Coach Pitch).

Teams will be selected beginning on 03/03/19. If you have not heard from your coach by 03/08/19, please email us at [email protected] and let us know you have not been contacted.

15U Baseball and Softball evaluations will take place on 05/11/19.

I have siblings that will be playing in the same division, will they be on a team together?
Yes, all siblings will be placed on the same team if they are playing in the same division. This does not include cousins or friends.


What does my registration fee go towards?

Registration fees are used to pay for uniforms, liability insurance, facility use fee to the City of Asheville and other League approved fees.

Registration fees do not cover all costs associated with running the league. Sponsorship's are an important part of keeping costs down for your child. Through sponsorship's we are able to pay our umpires, buy baseballs and softballs, and other equipment as needed.


What equipment does my child need?

Each player will be responsible for their own helmet, ball glove, cleats and pants.

All baseball division players; 5U, 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 15U will receive a jersey and hat. Socks will need to be supplied by the player.

All softball division players; 8U, 10U, 12U and 15U will receive a jersey and socks.

Steal Cleats are not allowed in any division except for 15U and above.

What days will pictures be and what do the packages look like?

A schedule will be posted as soon as the teams are selected. Pictures will be scheduled within the first 2 weeks of the regular season.

Our pictures will be taken through SportPix. You may review the picture package here (PDF). Please note that this example is for reference only and your coach will provide you with a hard copy to use as your order form.
