2018 U8 Spring Footyfest

PSA is proud to host our 2018 U8 Spring Footyfest on Saturday, March 17, 2018. The event is open to all eligible boys and girls U8 teams. Players must be born on or after 1/1/2010.

Waiver and Consent: Each participant must complete a waiver prior to competing. Individual Player Waiver and Consent Form.

When: Saturday, March 17, 2018
Emphasis: The festival is geared toward each club’s U8 Academy or equivalent program.
Number of Games:
 Each team will play three games.

Competition Level: Each club will be asked to provide competitive information regarding their teams in order to ensure the level of competition between teams is appropriate and in the best interests of individual player development.


Who Can Play:
 Open to players born on or after 1/1/2010 in the U7/U8 age group. Teams must produce a roster while no carding is necessary.

Entry of Teams: Each club can enter a maximum of 6 teams per gender.


Roster Size:
 4 v 4 (No GKs), 8 players maximum on a roster


Game Format
:

30 minute games (two 15-minute halves)

5 minute half time

3 total games per team


Ball Size:
 Size 3

Field Size: 35 yards x 25 yards (approximate)

Goal Size: 3’ x 5’

Unique U8 Rules:
No offside

No standings will be kept
No heading

Kick-ins used instead of throw-ins

All fouls result in a indirect free kick with the opponent 5 yards away.

 

REGISTRATION ACADEMY TEAMS

Clubs should submit all of their participating teams on the same form. Please complete one form for each gender if you are submitting for more than six teams total.
