U7 Program Rules

Grade / Age:	First Grade 6-7 years old
Gender:	Separate Boys and Girls Teams
Players on Field:	6 per team (5 field and 1 keeper)
Minimum # on Field:	4 per team (to prevent forfeit)
Total Players per Team:	8 - 10
Referees:	1
Ball size:	3

Substitutions:	Both teams substitute at stoppage of play, with permission of the Referee

Duration of Game:	8 minute quarters
	2 minutes between quarters
	5 minutes at half time
	41 minutes total time

Laws:	FIFA Laws of the Game, except -
	NEW for Fall 2016 - No deliberate heading the ball (indirect kick for other team) No slide tackling All indirect kicks No penalty kicks No offside calls No slide tackling Referee explains laws/rules to players as a teaching aid Teams switch sides after each half
Injuries:	If a coach enters the field to check an injured player, the player must leave the field. Coaches should try to re-enter the player, if possible, to maximize playing time for each player.
