MONDAY NIGHT FUTSAL (U9-U19 Boys/Girls)
Program Description
Monday Night FORGE Futsal is a drop-in style program that allows players to come out and receive some additional touches in a "free play" environment. Each week will start with some technical training and go into a free-play game. This program allows players to do what they do best - play.
Who Can Play? This program is open to all St. Vrain FC competitive players, ages U9-U19 (Boys/Girls).

Start Date: Monday, September 11th
End Date: Monday, October 30th
Cost: FREE for St. Vrain FC competitive players
Age Groups/Times:
- 4:15-5:15 PM: U9/U10 Boys and Girls
- 5:15-6:15 PM: U11 and above Boys and Girls
**Times are subject to change depending on numbers of players from each age range. The more players we have the more times we will offer.**
What to Bring:
- Flat soled shoes
- Shin guards covered by soccer socks
- Soccer ball
- Water
At no additional fee, The Forge is St. Vrain FC's new initiative to meld an elite player via their fiery passion for soccer. The club provides the components, tools and individualized coaching to players to help hone their craft and become the best player they can be. Under the supervision of a St. Vrain FC Director of Coaching, St. Vrain FC players will learn how to efficiently train on their own. However, players will have the opportunity to ask for tips and individual coaching from the SVFC Directors of Coaching and staff coaches who are in attendance.
Why has SVFC created The Forge?:
St. Vrain FC leadership has recognized that as players grow and improve their abilities, there is the need, and desire, for more opportunities to play soccer in a semi-unstructured learning environment. The Forge is an evolution of previous programs, such as Monday and Friday Futsal training as well as St. Vrain FC's Wednesday night club training sessions, ran by Executive Director Dan Jones.
Players today struggle with self instructed focused training. In order for a player to improve they need to spend time on their own with the ball. What we have noticed is this is tough for players these days. The Forge is designed to provide a platform for players to refine their skills in an environment where they have support. Think of the old adage, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime". We will teach the kids how to train on their own. Including Speed Agility and Quickness work, ball control, ball striking, skill moves, free style tricks and fitness.
What is each Forge session like?:
The nature of The Forge means there is no formal training session or curriculum that players will follow. Each day's session has the potential to be different, it is entirely up to the player to decide on what they would like to work on. However, St. Vrain FC leadership will be encouraging its coaches to give 'homework' to their players to bring to the Forge training grounds. Once there, players can work on their 'homework' alone, with friends, or ask for advice and instruction from one of the SVFC Directors of Coaching who will be there.
Who can attend The Forge Sessions?:
The Forge is open to all St. Vrain FC competitive members, U9 - U19, from any level. We want to provide the chance for players at all levels to interact with each other. We hope that this will allow older and more advanced players to take on a mentoring role to the younger players within the club.
