Financial Aid - Recreational Program

DC Stoddert Soccer is committed to supporting player participation in all of its programs, regardless of ones’ financial circumstances. Effective January 2019, DC Stoddert Soccer is implementing a new financial aid approach that applies to all DC Stoddert Soccer programs (except for the Travel program, which has a separate policy and process). Qualification is based on demonstrated financial need, date of application, and is subject to availability. Players approved for financial aid are expected to pay only 25% of the regular program cost. Additional and Late fees are not covered by financial aid; late registrants still owe fees.

Here’s how DC Stoddert’s Financial Aid Program works:

  • Check the box requesting financial aid during the registration process
  • Provide one of these appropriate documentations to DC Stoddert Soccer for review for your qualification (Any documentations submitted are kept confidential)
    • A current Free or Reduced Lunch eligibility letter usually works best
    • Proof of an active Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) account
    • Most recent U.S. Individual Income Tax Return (1040 Form) that filed with IRS for the household that claims the player as a dependent **(Please black out all SSN before submitting)**
  • Submit documentation via email ([email protected]), mail (4620 Wisconsin Ave. NW, Suite A, Washington, DC 20016), or by showing documentation in person at the office between the hours of 10am and 4pm, Monday through Friday
  • If documentation is sufficient, you are all set!  If it is insufficient, we will contact you.

Documentation has to be submitted within 48 hours of completing registration. If documentation is not received prior to the start of the season’s opening day, you will be charged the full price of the program. No exceptions will be made.

Once approved, a child is eligible for financial aid for all programs (except the Travel Program) for a full twelve (12) months, after which a renewal is required.

Anyone with questions about financial aid can contact [email protected] or 202-338-1910 ext. 10.
