About DC Stoddert Soccer

DC Stoddert Soccer is the largest non-profit youth soccer organization in Washington, D.C. with over 5,000 players in Recreational soccer and over 700 players in the Travel Program each fall and spring. Our players range from pre-kindergarten to high school. The club also takes part in the Club Champions League PRO23 League offering opportunities to collegiate players and DC Stoddert Alumni to compete.

DC Stoddert Soccer’s Recreational Program consists of more than 5,000 players each fall and spring, for nine weeks. The coed program is for players ages 5 to 18, while the girls-only program for players ages 6 to 18. With girls making up nearly half of all Recreational players, DC Stoddert Soccer is proud to be the largest youth sports program for girls in the city.

DC Stoddert Soccer’s Travel Program is a competitive program for players with a strong drive to develop their soccer abilities as well as the love of the game. Our Travel Program has more than 700 children ages 8-19, where they compete in a variety of leagues and competitions throughout Region 1 of U.S. Youth Soccer. In the Travel Program, players receive guided practice and coaching instruction from professional, nationally-licensed coaches. DC Stoddert Travel Teams compete in Club Champions League (CCL) and National Capital Soccer League (NCSL).

Other programs offered by DC Stoddert Soccer include a variety of training programs and camps, Juniors, Goalkeeping, Tots, and Pro Youth Training. These programs encompass a wide variety of programs geared to be instructional for young players. The programs are set up to teach skills to players while providing a challenging and fun environment.

DC Stoddert Soccer strives to make every program inclusive: 85% of participants play in program that are open-registration, meaning every child registered is given the opportunity to play. DC Stoddert Soccer is dedicated to making soccer, fun, safe, and accessible to all players. The registration fee for the open-registration recreational programming is kept as low as possible and the club offers fee waivers to players in need. DC Stoddert Soccer offers over a quarter-of-a-million-dollars annually in financial aid to our players between the Recreational and Travel Programs

All of DC Stoddert Soccer's programs are paid for by revenue collected from registration fees and tax-deductible contributions. The club receives no financial support from the District of Columbia government, and thus relies on the generosity of individual and corporate donors to cover its annual operating expenses. In addition, DC Stoddert Soccer invests in local charities and schools through its relationship with local PTA's and the D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation, from which the club rents athletic facilities and provides in-kind soccer field equipment, field maintenance, and programmatic support.
