Mark Stopher (Co-Founder, Crossfire Lacrosse):
Coach Mark is from Syracuse, NY and begin his lacrosse journey in Highschool and was recruited by many top DI and DIII colleges to play lacrosse. He played Close Defense and decided to play at Syracuse University from 1985 to 1989. As a junior and senior he was the 1st close defenseman and was relied on to guard the top opposing attackman. He won All-American Honors as a junior and senior and was part of the team that won the NCAA National Championships in 1988 and 1989. Since college graduation he has played on and/or coached numerous adult lacrosse club teams including Richmond lacrosse club, Virginia Commonwealth University, The Guinness lacrosse club, the Atlanta lacrosse club, Harrison High school lacrosse club. After playing he has focused for the last 20 years on coaching high school and youth. He has been the defensive community coach for Harrison HS, N Paulding HS and currently Hillgrove HS. He has served as the Director of The Boys Recreation Program with MAYLA and is a member of the Georgia Lacrosse Officials Association.
