Program Information

PROGRAM INFORMATION
West View-Ross Athletic Association is a non-profit organization that offers programs for kids of West View Borough and Ross Township to play baseball, slow-pitch and fast-pitch softball in a family friendly environment.  The communities we serve also coincide with the North Hills School District. At West View-Ross our focus is on the kids. While we all want our kids to be competitive and win, this objective takes a backseat to teaching them valuable lessons that will last a lifetime.  We utilize baseball and softball as a medium to teach our athletes values of sportsmanship and team building.  Playing baseball or softball also offers children unique opportunities to build friendships, learn and have fun. West View-Ross Athletic Association celebrates its 90 th Anniversary this year, as it was founded in 1934 as the West View Athletic Club. Please join us this year in celebrating this historic milestone.

SEASONS
WVRAA offers children the opportunity to compete on a recreational level in one or both of two seasons, Spring and Fall.  Spring season starts with indoor practices in March, moving outdoors in April. Games for the Spring season start at the beginning of May and finish up by mid-June.  The Fall season starts with practices in August.  Fall season games start in early-September and finish up by late-October. WVRAA athletes are also offered the opportunity to compete in a summer tournament season that
begins at the conclusion of the Spring recreational season.  The summer tournament season typically finishes in early-August.  Visit the Renegades tab on the website for more information.

FIELDS
West View-Ross is proud to call Scharmyn Park home.  With three fields in which to play, WVRAA can also offer additional amenities to players and families, including concessions, bathrooms facilities, batting cages, and more to enhance your family’s baseball or softball experience. In addition to Scharmyn Park, we also play games around Ross Township at Mayer Park, Herge Park, Seville Park, Denny Field, and McIntyre Field.
