FAQ's
(Contact us if you have other questions [email protected])

Q. What are your age groups?

A. East Lake Little League (ELLL) is for boys and girls ages 4 - 16.

Q. How do I register for a team?
A. You can register online. Please bring 3 separate proofs of residency or school document and birth certificate to
your first practice. Click to learn more

Q. What is the refundable Volunteer Deposit?
A We collect a $75 volunteer deposit as a way to encourage all families to help our league run effectively and to give our kids the best Little League experience possible. If we don't have enough volunteers, then we have to hire and pay people to do the work. All we ask is for each family to donate a small amount of time (4 hours during the season) during practices and/or games helping in the concession stand. It's fun, easy and a great way to meet new people in our community. Of course coaching, serving as the team parent etc...all qualify as additional ways to get that volunteer deposit refunded at the end of the season.

Q. When do spring season practices begin?

A.  Practices begin the week of Feb 1st.

Q. How long does the spring season last?
A. Opening Day is Feb. 20th and closing weekend is May 14th.

Q. How many games per week?
A. T-Ball, Coach Pitch and Machine Pitch divisions will play one game per week. Higher
divisions will play 2 games per week. The coach will inform parents of practice/game days.

Q. Does my child need previous baseball/softball experience to play on a team?
A. No experience is necessary to play. There will be tryouts for all Minor divisions and above to
evaluate player skill levels in order to help us draft teams.

Q. Who do I contact if I'm interested in coaching?
A. Contact our Coaching Coordinator  [email protected]

Q What is the play-up division policy?
AWe require everyone to play in their age division.  We do allow players to move up or down in a division in certain circumstances based on tryout scores and with the approval from the ELLL Player Agent.

Q. How is the age appropriate division determined?
A. Blue Sombrero, the registration system we use, is set to utilize to use "baseball age" as defined by Little League International. Parents need to register their player in the age appropriate division and then make a note about wanting to play up in the "comments" section of the registration to alert our Player Agent who will then contact the parent to discuss. A final determination will be made after tryouts if your player is playing in the Minors division or above.

Q. How much does it cost to register my player?
A. The spring registration fee for our lower divisions is $150 and for higher divisions $175.

Q. Do you offer any discounts?
A. Yes, we offer an early bird registration discount (December), a multi-player discount (registering more than 1 child) and a dual roster discount (registering for more than 1 division - Majors, Intermediate and Juniors only).

Q. Does my player get a uniform?
A.
T-Ball, Coach Pitch & Machine pitch - Jersey, gray elastic pants, hat and socks
Baseball Minors and higher divisions - Jersey, hat, belt and socks
Softball AA -  Jersey, gray elastic pants, and socks
Softball higher divisions - Jersey and socks

Q. Does the league offer scholarships?
A. Yes, no child will be turned away because of an inability to pay. Please contact our League President
for more information.
