- What is KickStarter Academy?
KickStarter Academy is a program designed for players to take their first touches of a soccer ball in a fun learning environment. Each session lasts 45 minutes and is led by a St. Vrain FC coach. The program incorporates body movement education, coordination exercises and motor-skills instruction that are so important for a developing child and athlete. Each session includes individual and small-sided team activities that encourages communication, exploration of their own capabilities, all of which is in a fun learning environment.
- Who is KickStarter Academy for?:
The program is meant for any child, U4 - U6, who has limited to no experience playing soccer. We welcome anyone, whether you have participated in previous programs or not with St. Vrain FC, to sign up for KickStarter Academy.
- What are KickStarter Academy Sessions like?
Each Academy session begins with a warm-up activity that is age and skill level appropriate. Much of this entails simple technical training with the ball as well as functional motor-skill movements without the ball. After warm-up, the group will be split into smaller training groups, if need be, and rotate through two to three different training stations. At every station each child will run through an activity, with or without the ball, or play a game that involves soccer and athletic movements. During the final 10-15 minutes the group will re-convene and play a match-like game that will be no larger than 2v2. Each session will run for 45 minutes.

1. go to www.stvrainfc.com 2. click the LOGIN button in the upper right corner of the screen *If you have not created an account with St. Vrain FC's new website, you will need to click on the REGISTER tab in the upper right hand corner to create an account before proceeding 3. Once you have signed into your account, you can then click on the player you would like to register, then click the red button in their profile that says REGISTER NOW and proceed from there.
