Important Coronavirus Announcement
Both of our parks are closed at this time, yet children are ignoring and disregarding signs stating so. Please pay attention to your children. They should not be playing on the swings, slides, exercise equipment, etc. Please emphasize social distancing. Our video surveillance cameras showed kids playing like they do under normal circumstances. For the safety of the children, PLEASE talk to them and keep them away from our parks for the time being.
Introducing North Plainfield's New Outdoor Gym
The Department of Parks and Recreation proudly presents a new outdoor fitness center for residents of North Plainfield. The fitness center is located directly across from the park on Vermeule Place. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Please follow the safety rules posted at the center.
Mayor Giordano will officially open the fitness center with a ribbon cutting ceremony on November 25th at 3:30pm just before Santa arrives at the Community Center at 4pm.
