2019 Harrison SC Kickoff Classic: August 24 & 25 2019

It is with great disappointment that we have to announce the cancellation of Harrison Soccer Club’s 2019 Kickoff Classic tournament.  Unfortunately there is a major problem with our sprinkler system that we’ve just been informed will not be fixed until mid-August at the earliest.  The fields at our complex are in bad need of repairs which we have funded and scheduled to do but without the sprinklers this process can only be done sporadically at best.  We have great pride in our fields and always want to put our best foot forward and provide our visitors with the best event possible.  We feel that if we can’t guarantee a great experience to our visitors then we should cancel the event and work hard to come back better than ever next year.  We could have delayed this decision for a few more weeks to see if Mother Nature helped us out but that would not be fair to the teams that have already committed to us, as they need sufficient time to find an alternative tournament.

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience that this cancellation may cause, but we believe that it is much better to take a financial hit now rather than have 120+ teams upset with the condition of our fields.  We hope you understand and will come back to us next year.
