Mission Statement
The Chichester Youth Association was created in 1996 to provide and promote athletic programs for all youth in and about the town of Chichester, NH. The purpose of the association is to implant in the youth of the community ideas of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and reverence so that they may be fine, stronger, and happier youth who will grow to be responsible and healthy adults. Currently, the CYA provides soccer, softball, baseball, and tee ball programs for Chichester children in grades K through 6.
The Chichester Youth Association is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization run entirely by volunteers. The association relies financially on registration fees, donations, and fundraising projects.
The CYA is responsible for organizing tee ball, baseball, softball and soccer teams. Their home fields are located near the end of Bear Hill Road in Carpenter Park.
Jackets
Chichester Youth Association jackets are given to players when they play in the U12/Major levels and have played for at least 3 years within the organization. If the player reaches the level for one sport but would like to wait until the other sport to receive the jacket, this is acceptable but be aware that the player will not receive a jacket if they do not play at the major level for that sport.
CYA Officers
Coordinators / Other
Snack Shack
It is required by the CYA that at least one parent or guardian of each child participating in the baseball\softball program shall work, at a minimum, one “shift” in helping to run the Snack Shack. And one parent from each team will be designated (hopefully volunteer) as the “team parent” who will be responsible for coordinating the Snack Shack coverage for their team. Please note that the successful operation of the Snack Shack is extremely beneficial to the financial stability of the CYA in providing recreational programs for the youth of Chichester.
Please contact the your team parent to schedule your shift.
