Players who want to move up or down in Divisions

Updated for the 2018 Season

Visit the following page for information on CSLL divisions: www.ColoradoSpringsLittleLeague.com/Default.aspx?tabid=712287

For those players that wish to move up in divisions at an earlier age, the player must be evaluated to make sure that they are ready, able to be successful and be able to compete at the high level. We can't go by parents opinion and wishes. CSLL must take into account player safety and skill level. We will not allow for players who do not fall under the league age requirements for 12- 13 to move up to the 50/70 division for the 2018 season.

New for the 2018 Season: We are now offering a Majors Division for the 2018 Season for players who are a league age 11-12 years old. We will allow players who are a league age 10 an opportunity to tryout for this division.

If you wish for your player to move up a division below is a list of possible moves:

A player who is a league age 6 (6 years old by Aug 31, 2018) can move up to Rookies.
A player who is a league age 8 (8 years old by Aug 31, 2018) can move up to Minors.
A player who is a league age 10 (10 years old by Aug 31, 2018) can move up to Majors.

Note: For the 2018 Season we are only allowing age 12-13 year olds to participate in the Intermediate 50/70 division.

To have your player move up to any of the available divisions or if you have any other questions/concerns please contact: [email protected].

First Step: Contact Brandy at: [email protected]. The registrar will assist in getting the player registered in the requested division.

Second Step: (Try Outs/Evaluations) the player will attend requested division evaluations in front of Head Coaches and Board members. If the coaches and board members don't feel like they are ready to be placed in the requested division, the player will then be moved back down to the proper division for their league age. A refund will then be given for the price difference. If the coaches and board members feel like they are ready and advanced enough the player will enter the draft, the players will move forward to the drafting process. Meaning they will be eligible to be drafted.

Last Step: (The Draft) if your player makes it this far, They will be eligible to be drafted. If your player goes into the draft, and if by chance is not selected then they will move back down to their proper division for their league age. If your player is drafted and they will stay in the requested division. If you have any questions, please contact Brandy at: [email protected]

If you feel your player is not quite ready to advance to the next level of play here is some information.

Because of the new league age determination please be aware that 3 year olds (4 by Aug 31, 2018) are eligible to participate in the T-Ball program. Therefore we are encouraging the younger players only to be placed in the T-Ball program.

If your player is a league age 7 who has not played before they may play in the Coach Pitch Division please contact [email protected].

Players that have not played before but are a league age 8, we recommend that it will be more beneficial for them to be placed in the Rookies division. This is still a developmental program and older players will be far more successful with players their own age.

If your player is a league age that places them in Minors, Majors, or Intermediate 50/70 please register them in the proper division for their age. Please make a note during the registration process of your concerns and then please have your child attend evaluations and remind us of your concerns. The coaches and commissioners present at evaluations will then take extra care to evaluate your player and make sure they are placed in the proper division for their ability.

Thank you for your understanding!
