When does the Season Start? The season typically starts we have our Big Parade and opening day ceremonies. Jamboree day where all AAA and Majors team play a few short fun games and the Spring Intermediate plays their first formal games.
How Often are the games and Practices? Most teams practice once a week and have a game once a week in the A and AA division. In AAA and Majors they have can have up to three games a week but typically one practice and two games.
What time do they start? Week days most starting times are 5:30 but some teams may elect to start at 5 if all their players can make it.
Saturday we play all day and into the night. When school is over he have night games during the week as well. If we need to we will schedule practices and on occasion games on Sunday afternoon's.
Do I have to stay and watch? If you have a younger player 5-8 years old we recommend you stay and watch. It is not uncommon to have the older players be dropped off and picked up after practice. It is not the managers responsibility to watch over each child so you really need to ask another parent who is staying to keep an eye out for your child. Managers will do the best they can but there are many children around and lots of confusion when teams end practice. So it is best to be 100% responsible for your own child.
When are the tryouts for A and AA? There are no tryouts for A and AA players, they will be contacted by their manager by the end of March.
When are the tryouts for AAA and Majors? Please check the website for frequent updates. The draft will follow the tryouts and you should hear from your manager that within two days of the tryouts.
What does our fee cover? You fee covers the cost of uniforms, equipment insurance, umpires field maintenance etc.... They do not cover all our expenses, we rely heavily on contributions and donations from local business's and individuals. If you have time to help us out with field maintenance, carpentry, painting etc... we welcome your help and support! This is a cummuinty effort and we need your support to help keep this league succesful and fun.
What is Spring Clean Up Day? We ask every parent who can to come on down and help us prepare our fields, paint fences etc... Without volunteer help this league can not survive. If you want your children to play on safe fields then please come down and make a difference
