Florida Elite used early goals from Lukas Sueth and Saula Da Silva to ensure its entry into USL League Two would be a smooth one Saturday night at Creekside High School.
Florida Elite’s 2-1 victory over The Villages SC was a result celebrated by hundreds of youth players, parents and supporters who sported the club’s volt-colored jerseys.
Sueth opened the club’s account in the 19th minute when his left-footed volley found the top corner.
“I’m happy because the club is up,” said Sueth, a 21-year-old from Brazil. “We have a lot of kids with a lot of dreams. I am happy because I am a role model for the kids.”
Florida Elite’s first starting XI was deployed in a 4-3-3 system. Patrick Timmer was in goal. Redondo Beauplan, Declan Watters, Zane Bubb and Nathan Clifford were the back four. Jason Van Achteren, Sueth and Nicholas Lodovico were the midfielders. Bryson Smith and Trevin Myers were the wingers and Saulo Da Silva was the center forward
