B04 Rush: SWSC Summer Classic Champions
The So Cal Rush B04’s participated in the Southwest SC Summer Classic on June 1-2, 2019 and came out on top! They were crowned CHAMPIONS! Game 1 against the hosts, Southwest SC, ended in a 1-1 tie. Game 2 against Barcelona Cantera resulted in a strong 4-1 win. Game 3 on Sunday morning against Scripps Ranch United was a battle from start to finish. It looked like the game would end in a 0-0 tie as the final minutes of the game expired. However, it’s never over until the final whistle blows! Scripps pulled out an outside shot that found its way to the back of the Rush net in the final 10 seconds of the game. The B04’s fell in a tough 0-1 loss. In a strike of luck, the other two teams in the pool tied which led to Rush moving on to the finals! They would get a much-desired rematch against Scripps Ranch United! Both teams came out with strength, precision, and tenacity. Rush, however, delivered more determination and scored in the first and second half while shutting out Scripps. The B04’s earned the Championship title, and redemption. with a 2-0 win. The title resulted in an advancement into the Gold tier on GotSoccer. Congratulations, B04’s!
