Mad River Red goes UNDEFEATED all season

The Mad River Red 9-10 year old team completed their perfect season on Friday night on the River Field at Couples' Field complex. Their pitching was excellent with Logan Huffman starting and going strong for three innings. Peter Harris then came in for two strong innings and Beau finished off the effort by getting three outs in the bottom of the sixth.

Mad River Purple wrapped up their season with strong pitching by John Butler, Wyatt Babic, Nolan Larkin and an especially strong showing by Jack Lacey.

The final score was 9-5. Congrats to MR Red for the perfect season. Six members of the MR Red team will join five members of the MR Purple team on the summer All Star Team. The All Star Tournament starts July 5 right here in Waitsfield at Couples' Field Complex.
