2025 Summer/Fall Pitching Academy
We are offering s a series of seven 60-minute group lessons at Nelson Park.
The first two sessions will be conducted Thursday July 10 and Tuesday July 22.
10U and younger player will go from 6:00-7::00pm while 12U and up will go from 7:00-8:00pm.
The remaining 5 session will be held in September and October on days and times to be announced.
Players must provide their own catcher for each lesson.

The lessons will be taught by former Grafton Diamond and current Brandies University pitching coach Kendal Roy. Kendal is a Grafton High Hall of Famer who went 92-8, won MIAA D2 State Championships in 2012, 2013 and finished 2nd in 2014. During her senior she had 265 strikeouts and just 14 walks in 25 games with 0.63. She holds every major GHS pitching record. At Assumption University, she was a 4 year starter who finished her career 6th in wins, 2nd in shutouts and 3rd in strikeouts.
These group lessons will focus on creating the foundation of sound mechanics which enable pitchers to throw strikes more consistently. At GHS, Kendal just threw a fastball and changeup. The key to her success was the ability to locate her fastball precisely where she wanted it. We extremely happy to have Kendal lead our Pitching Academy again to develop the next generation of pitchers.
The Academy is open to any player who is willing to make a commitment to becoming a better pitcher. In addition to the lessons,Kendal will assign homework which the players are expected to practice between sessions. Since parents often serve as a catcher for their daughter, parents have to be prepared to “get out there” every day too.
Grafton Girls Softball is offering these lesson for FREE to any GGSA player. We recognize the importance pitching and the commitment required to become one. In the late fall and winter, the Pitching Academy will offer 45 minute individual lessons with Kendal at nearby indoor training facility. Details, including dates, times, cost, GGSA subsidies and incentive programs, will be announce in a few weeks.
