Programs

The ABA offers 3 programs to our family's and players.  Our programs are designed to ensure that every player, regardless of skill set, age and or gender has a place to learn and play the game of basketball.  The ABA is committed to teaching the basic skills and fundamentals of basketball in a fun and safe environment and is our mission to ensure that every player and our families have positive and rewarding experience no matter what program they participate in.

Offered Programs

Intramural Recreational Program

The recreational and intramural program is offered to boys and girls ages 5-15 years of age.  Our program provides a competitive environment for all skills sets and age levels as we focus on teaching the fundamentals of the game.  The ABA provides clinic level instruction to our youngest players for ages 5-6 and 7-8 and more advanced play as our age groups increase in age.  The ABA is has both a boys and girls division and provides a structured but competitive program for all ages.  Our program has continued to grow and is now in our 51st year serving the youth of the Ridley Township.  We look forward to another great year and are excited to seeing the kids back on the court for the 2017-18 season.

Intramural Recreational Program Cost

Single Player: $125
2nd Player: $75.00
3 or more players: $250.00

The ABA requires all players to play in their respective age group as defined in our player age policy.  Please see our policies page for further information.  The ABA determines a players age as their age on September 1st and will use the child's current grade for division assignment.

The travel program is offered for players in 5th,  - 8th Grade who wish to participate in more competitive play and additional games.  The travel program has teams for both boys and girls in each grade and requires commitment to participate in additional practices and games.  All players must tryout for the team and pre-registration required to receive invitations to the tryouts.   Fees will not be incurred until after the team selection has been completed and if selected to the team, payment will be required prior to the teams first practice.  Failure to do so could result in the player forfeiting their spot on the team.  Please also note that, playing on the travel team only does not constitute being eligible for our All-Stars Program.  Please make sure to read the All-Star Policy on our Policies Page.
