What Is Futsal?

Futsal is the “official form of indoor soccer.” It is a small-sided game played on a harder surface, with a smaller, heavier ball.  This is the game that outdoor soccer players around the globe play to refine and maintain their control skills and touch. It is excellent for developing better skills and technique. In futsal, players are constantly reminded to play the same quality control game that is required for success in the outdoor game. 

 
The surface, ball and rules create an emphasis on improvisation, creativity and technique as well as ball control and passing in small spaces. The smaller team size gets players more frequent touches and more opportunities to score. Since players are not just defenders or attackers, but complete players, results in a better all-around understanding of the game. Rules forbidding excessive contact heighten the emphasis on skill and reduce the risk of injury.

Registration Information

If you are a returning Celtics family, simply log into your account and choose the Futsal program for an existing player or add your new player and then choose the Futsal session in which your child wishes to participate. 

You will be prompted to accept a medical waiver and submit payment.  You will receive an email confirmation.
