Coach Swanburg Bio

Coach Swanburg is a teacher at Northwestern MS and will work with both JV and Varsity players. His addition will allow us to develop players more effectively by targeting specific skills and tactics.

Eric currently coaches club soccer at United Futbol Academy (Forsyth), and has been an integral part in developing young athletes within the program for over 4 years. Eric previously coached at Norcross Soccer Academy and Norcross High School as the JV girls head coach. Eric, a native of California, moved to Georgia in 1996 to continue his soccer career with the 86’ Norcross Soccer Academy Fury winning several top notch tournaments and taking many division victories in one of the top brackets in the South-East region.

Eric was also a contributing dynamic of the Norcross High School varsity boy’s undefeated regular season in 2005 as the team finished a remarkable 12-0; Eric received three “player of the game” awards during that season. Upon graduation, Eric received multiple scholarship offers from schools both inside and outside of the state of Georgia to play college level soccer.

In 2005, Eric made the decision to play for the University of Mobile, a NAIA powerhouse, under the direction of coach Peter Fuller who had lead the team to a National Championship in 2003. Eric currently holds a USSF National B coaching license and has been coaching the game competitively for over 8 years. He plans to continue his coaching education and in doing so he is – “striving to better his players every day.”

Coach Wallace Bio

Bryan Wallace will be at the helm of the Men's Varsity Soccer program along with serving as an Assistant Athletic Director and is looking forward to joining a great group of coaches and educators at Cambridge High School.

Wallace is a graduate of Indiana University-Bloomington but is originally from Chicago, Illinois. He moved to Atlanta eight years ago and spent his first seven years at Cross Keys High School teaching social studies and serving as the Boy's Varsity Soccer coach and Athletic Director. Just recently he served in the same role at Arabia Mountain High School in DeKalb County. Wallace has an impressive record as a soccer coach having built two successful programs where the teams compiled a 68-35-4 record in 7 years and made three appearances in the Georgia state playoffs, including advancing to the state semifinals in 2011.

Coach Wallace is coming on board at CHS to be a TAG social studies teacher. He is very pleased to bring his experience and coaching style to Cambridge and firmly believes the combination of strong leadership, highly qualified teachers and coaches, and community support will lead to great success as everyone strives to build something special.

Wallace and his wife, Anne, have a daughter and son, and they are all excited to join the Cambridge family.
