What do your fees include?

There are many things your child's fee includes: uniform, games including an In-House All-Star game and a post season tournament. Every child receives a trophy or medal with additional trophies for champions and runners up in their division. League fees also allow us to maintain operations. These include: equipment, field maintenance, umpire fees, insurance and Little League membership dues.

How many games do you play?

Following is a list of the projected number of games for each division. The number of participants and/or coaches will dictate the number of teams per division. Field availability, rain outs, rescheduling availability and other factors may result in fewer games being played. These numbers include practice games, but do not include the mid-season In-House All-Star Game or the end of season In-House Tournament games, which may result in your child playing more than the scheduled games.  There is no guarantee that all games will be played due to inclement weather.  TCLL Board will do it's best to get all games rescheduled.

When will schedules come out?

Hopefully schedules will come out at the beginning of April. Your Team Manager will be able to provide you with a schedule as soon as he or she receives it.  Some of our divisions play a Metro Schedule (Little League District 13 Travel Schedule) and we need to receive these first and then complete our schedules.  Once the season begins, make up games for rain-outs can be mixed in though-out the season, but are primarily played on Sundays.

What important dates do I need to be aware of?

Saturdays in February - Evaluations:  Baseball... all players age 9 and up or any player wishing to play up will be attending evaluations as it is a requirement of Little League to play.

Beginning of March:  Our draft process begins, this is for Team Managers and one coach. All Players should be contacted by their team manager by mid to late March.  If not please do not hesitate to contact the VP of your Division.
Mid April: Opening Day

Mid May:  Picture Day

Mid May:  Challenger Picture Day and Make Up Day

Mid June: In-House Tournaments begin

End of June: Closing Ceremonies

Please check our web calendar prior to the start of the season for exact dates.

Are Evaluations Required?

T-Ball
and Instructional players do not need to attend evaluations. At this level, every effort is made to group these players by neighborhood and/or school. Special requests are collected during the registration process, and we try to honor those during selection for ages 8 and below. Instructional  and T-Ball Players are encouraged to participate in any clinics we may offer.

Players participating in Minors and Majors must be evaluated. These evaluations are used in our draft process make equitable teams for the season. Team selection for 9 year-olds and up is based on skill. We try our best to distribute talent and build balanced teams, therefore your child may be placed on a team different from his usual group of friends. Generally, they will know someone on their team, and it is great opportunity to meet NEW friends and families. If you make a request for placement, that will only be considered secondarily to the drafting manager's pick priorities. Everyone makes it on a team at the Majors level and below (If not enough players register for teams at intermediate and above for baseball and Juniors for softball, they may be asked to join another league in our district or offered a refund).

Where can I find documentation of the official rules?

Tri-Cities uses the Little League Green Book rules along with some in house developed rules per division for our in house season.  The "House" rules are meant to try and maintain a level playing field for all skill levels within the divisions and give each child a chance to be successful.  Any division that plays a metro schedule and our summer all star teams plays Green book rules exclusively.  Please contact Michelle Westland, our Player Agent if you have questions about our governing process, game rules, or concerns regarding fairness.
