Fall 2019 Baseball info will be updated after all leagues meet to plan the upcoming season.

SIAA Baseball Skills Day
Dates TBD (mid-late August)

at Stumpy Creek Park
160 Stumpy Creek Rd, Mooresville
(off Perth Rd)
REMEMBER: younger divisions are based on your child's age on April 30, 2020, and August 30, 2020 for the older ages. Our system at will automatically assign the correct division.

Skills day is a fun day at the ballpark, as players run through baseball drills. Coaches use these drills to divide players evenly during the draft. Carpool requests will be reviewed, but please understand, player ratings and the draft process are what determine team placement. Not all requests can be granted; it’s not mathematically possible. SIAA’s goal is to have well-balanced teams; ideally, each team will have a 50/50 win/loss record.

All 7-12 yr olds are expected to attend Skills Day. If your child cannot attend, he will be randomly placed on a team after the draft (absent players cannot be drafted by a coach, they must be present Sunday to be drafted).

T-ball players need not attend Skills Day; they’ll be contacted after registration ends **

Please arrive 15-20 minutes before your scheduled time and report to the concession stand for registration/sign-in. Your child will be assigned a number and sent to the correct field to warm up.

Your child needs to bring a glove, at minimum. They are also welcome to bring their own bats & helmets (optional).

Drafts will take place after Skills Day, and practices may begin the following weekend.

Teams will practice 1 or 2 times a week at first.  Coaches will attempt to schedule practices from available time slots to accommodate as many players as possible. Once games begin, practices will be scheduled as available and typically not be more than once a week. Weeknight practices run 5:30-7pm, 6-7:30pm or 6:30-8pm, coach’s choice.

Most practices will take place at Brawley Middle, Woodland Heights, Lake Norman Elem, Stumpy Creek Park, or Mount Mourne IB

Games will begin in September, and will be played within the Iredell County/Mooresville area. More details will be posted after the leagues and county reps meet.

Every team needs a sponsor; help us find them by asking businesses you support to support youth sports in Iredell County. Quite often, companies have money set aside for charitable contributions, and simply need to be asked.

Click here for our Sponsor Form, or register your child as a sponsor online to use a credit card. Thanks!
