Season Ending Boys Picnic, 6 pm on Wed. May 20 at Jordans Point

We will now have our season ending picnic on Wednesday, May 20, at 6:00 pm, at Jordan’s Point. This is after the soccer practice at the Jordan Point field. We will set up food in the Jordan’s Point Pavilion.  This is a simple idea for boys and their families, with pizzas, paper plates, cups and ice provided by the club, and families bring everything else (side dish, desserts, drinks). Parking will be a little tricky at Jordan’s Point for a group our size, so please be patient as you find a place to park.

The weather should be a lot nicer, and we’ll have the cover of the Pavilion We’ll still keep an eye on things, and if there are problems, we’ll send an email out and post a notice on the www.lexlex.net webpage.

If anybody has any team or game pictures they want to share, please send those to me. We have posted a few already on the website.

Families with last names ending in A-H should plan bring a side dish to share, J-R bring a dessert to share, and S-Z bring drinks (either liters or a 12-pack of soda, lemonade, water) to share. We’ll serve in the pavilion, so bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. too. We’ll eat around 6:20 pm, then have a few words from some of the coaches, and then be done by 7:30 pm.

Boys should have turned in their practice pinneys at their last practice and their game jerseys at their last matches. If you have not done that yet, bring those things to the picnic. Getting these kinds of things turned in helps us keep our costs low for everybody.

If you son was a new player this year, we loaned equipment for them to use as they tried lacrosse. If they plan to keep playing, then the club will continue to loan the equipment so your son can use it through the year. If they know they are done playing (or have outgrown their borrowed equipment), they should turn in their equipment at the picnic.

I have some t-shirts left to hand out, so will have those at the picnic.
