Grades K-1-2 is a coed instructional basketball program held on Saturday mornings in the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR). This focus of this program is to teach players the FUNdamentals of basketball while promoting teamwork, enjoyment, and good sportsmanship in a supportive environment. Session 1: Basketball FUNdamentals is designed for beginners (Kindergarten and first-time players in Grades 1-2) and focuses on skill-building through fun and engaging drills that teach the basics of dribbling, passing, and shooting. Session 2: Game Play & Skill Development is designed for returning players (Grades1-2) and introduces more game-like situations and team-based play to help athletes apply their skills in a structured, supportive environment. The program emphasizes learning, recreation, and sportsmanship over competition. Sessions are expected to being in January, depending on coach and gym availability.

Grades 3-4 is a team-based program with separate teams for boys and girls. This division continues to be an instructional program and is part of the Lamprey River Basketball League with games against surrounding communities. Games are typically held on Saturdays and are set to begin mid December. Practices are held in the MPR and are set to begin in November based on coach and gym availability. 

Grades 5-8 is a more competitive program with separate teams for boys and girls. These teams will also be part of the Lamprey River Basketball League with games against surrounding southern New Hampshire teams in neighboring communities. Games are held over the weekend and will begin in December. Practices are held in the Chester Academy gym and are set to begin in November.
