Basketball

CHESTER BASKETBALL K-2 / 3-4 / 5-8 / High School

Grades K-1-2 is a coed instructional basketball program traditionally held on Saturday mornings. This program is designed to instruct players in the fundamental aspects of the sport, while encouraging them to enjoy themselves and make new friends. This program does not stress competition, but recreation and good sportsmanship. Program start/end dates are set by the volunteer coaches.

Grades 3-4 is a team-based program with separate teams for boys and girls. This division continues to be an instructional program and will participate in the Lamprey River Basketball League with games against surrounding communities. All games to be held in only a few locations starting in January. Practice schedule set to begin mid-November.

Grades 5-8 is a more competitive program with separate teams for boys and girls. These teams will also participate in the Lamprey River Basketball League with games against other surrounding southern New Hampshire teams in neighboring communities. Games are held over the weekend and will begin in mid-December. Middle level practices will begin in November based on coach and gym availability.

High School is a coed program that the league hopes to bring back this season. There are a few towns interested in participating with games set to begin in January.
