Boys and Girls 9i Evaluations Date set!

If you have registered a child for Blue Eagles Basketball who was age 8 on August 1, 2018, your son/daughter will be placed in the 9i age level. Evaluation dates for the girls and boys 9i age levels have been set for Thursday evening, November 8th, at NASD's North Campus Gym.  This gym is located adjacent to Nazareth High School within the Administrative Offices building.

Girls evaluations will take place from 6:15-7:15pm.  Boys evaluations will take place from 7:30-8:30pm.  Please arrive 10 minutes early to register your son/daughter.  Please have your son/daughter bring a basketball to use during the evaluation.  Basketballs for boys and girls for this age should be 28.5" (Women's) and be clearly marked with your child's name on it. Have your child dressed and ready to play along with a water bottle, if desired.  Please dress your child in a cotton t-shirt as we place labels/stickers on each child so evaluators can easily identify kids during the evaluation.  Stickers on “Dri-fit” shirts tend to fall off and stick to the gym floor which is extremely difficult to clean and remove.  Parents will not be able to be in the gymnasium during evaluations, but are able to stay inside the building's lobby.  Parents are also welcome to register their child, leave and return to pick up as well.

Evaluations for the 9i age level are used as a tool to allow our community organization to determine how best to select teams.  Encourage your child to do their best, hustle, listen and have fun!  At the 9i age level, we make our best attempts to create equal teams based on each child's evaluations scores.  This fosters an equal, competitive and fun experience during the season.  Playing time at the 9i level is distributed as equally as possible.

Finally, if you have not registered to volunteer as an assistant coach, please consider doing so and let us know ASAP.  We can always utilize assistant coaches to help Head Coaches make best use of their time during practices.
