Crossover Sports

Off To A Great Start!

In July 2012 the Crossover Sports Association (CSA) put together its first football team of 1st and 2nd graders. Only one of the 19 kids on the team had ever played tackle football before. Kids from Crossover Bible Church and Hawthorne Elementary made up the core of the team. The 2012 season ended with a dramatic last minute come from behind win in the American Youth Football Conference of Oklahoma championship game! Later that year, CSA launched its basketball program with a boys 1st and 2nd grade team. That team competed hard and earned the CSA Lions a lot of respect on the basketball court. In the Spring of 2013 CSA was unexpectedly able to put together two baseball teams (T-ball and Coach Pitch) to offer a third sport to North Tulsa athletes. The 2012-2013 school year could not have gone better for the new kids on the block in the North Tulsa youth sports landscape.

The 2013-2014 year went even better. The CSA Lions fielded two football teams for the 2013 season. Our Mighty-Mite (1st & 2nd grade) team went undefeated winning another Lions championship, and our 3rd grade team lost a close heartbreaker in the championship game. The CSA basketball program jumped from one team to seven! And we were happy to have two girls' basketball team made up primarily of 4th graders from Hawthorne Elementary. Two of our teams (1st-2nd boys and 3rd-4th grade girls) finished second in their respective divisions. Baseball grew from two teams to three. And the CSA Lions put together a track team. God has greatly blessed our organization, and our goal is to become the premier youth sports organization in North Tulsa.
