Sarah grew up in Winston-Salem, NC and even grew up playing for TCYSA. She was on the first girls' Twins team to win the State Cup in 1998, and won two state titles on her high school squad at Forsyth Country Day. In 2004, she headed to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she studied Education and played soccer on the Rams club team. After graduating in 2008, she went back to her high school alma mater to teach English and coach. She served as the Assistant Varsity Girls' Soccer Coach for three years before taking over as Head Coach for the past two. In 2011, she became director of the summer and winter programs at FCDS. During the summer of 2013, Sarah joined the Twins Staff as the Recreation Director and coach.
