Westfield Youth Sports, Inc. (WYSI) is pleased to announce Pro X Athlete Development (Pro X) as a new community partner and gold level sponsor. The partnership will provide a range of new benefits and improvements for WYSI members. Among the new initiatives, Pro X will offer educational seminars, athlete development programs, and resources that focus on educating athletes, parents, and coaches on best practices to prevent injuries, injury recovery, and sports performance improvement. WYSI members will also receive a $50 discount on many Pro X membership packages.
“Pro X is excited to partner with WYSI because we share many common values and have a passion to develop high-character kids and athletes,” said Joe Thatcher, the company’s co-founder and current general manager. "Our mission is to expose young athletes to innovative and high-levels of athlete development and use sports as a platform to instill life-long qualities and character traits that all successful people share. Pro X always puts the individual needs of our athletes first, which is why our affiliation with WYSI is such a great fit. We truly believe that our professional staff is unmatched in education, experience and passion and now all members of WYSI will have unlimited access to the best. The entire Pro X team is honored and excited to be a part of this great community and we look forward to a long partnership with this outstanding organization.”
On January 26, Pro X is set to open its 60,000 square foot facility on the campus of Grand Park. The facility will include a 34,000 sq. foot open turf field, 22 batting cages, a state of the art weight room, and a golf simulator. In addition to Thatcher, the staff is comprised of former MLB and NFL players, including former Indianapolis Colts players Daniel Muir (Director of Football), Justin Snow (Assistant Football Director), and Curtis Painter (Quarterback Instructor). Jamey Gordon, the director of athlete development, and Rick Stiner, the director of baseball and softball, combine for over 45 years of experience in the athlete development industry.
"We are excited for Pro X to join the WYSI family," stated WYSI President Michael Good. “The value-added benefits they offer are unique, and we are fortunate to have them right here in Westfield for our membership to access."
Pro X joins a growing group of community partners who have made multi-year commitments to support WYSI programs. Memberships at Pro X can be obtained online or at their temporary facility located at 733 East Main Street.

About Pro X - www.proxathlete.com
From Pro X co-founder and former MLB player Joe Thatcher, “Over the course of my 9-year professional pitching career, I was exposed to some of the most innovative training professionals in the world and able to visit and utilize training facilities throughout the country. I realized that Central Indiana lacked an all-inclusive training facility, so Pro X was founded with input from other athletes, healthcare providers and experts in the industry to provide innovative and integrated sports performance training, physical therapy and rehabilitation services, and sport-specific skill development. Our brand new 60,000 sq. ft state-of-the-art training facility right here in Grand Park and Westfield will be the premier athlete training center in the Midwest.”
