Competitive Baseball Team Evaluations

The Mason Baseball Softball Club will host a fall evaluation session on Oct. 8, at Aurelius Township, for players interested in playing on competitive kid pitch teams at the 8U through 11U age groups for the 2024 season. These teams are open to players attending the Mason School District, residing in the Mason community or a local community that does not offer a baseball program at their age level.

These teams will be designed to give our players more of a year-round baseball experience. These teams will compete in tournaments throughout the summer in addition to participating in the Mid-Michigan Pony League spring and fall seasons. Players will play in 20 games through the MMPL schedules.

Registration

The age cutoff for what division your child may be eligible to play in next season is based on their age as of April 30, 2024. (I.e. players 9 and under at the cutoff date are eligible to play 9U, etc.).

The estimated cost per player will range from $350.00 - $600.00. The estimated cost is due to the fluctuation of tournaments at each age level (8U may play in 2 tournaments, while 11U may play in 4). At a minimum, registration fees include uniform (shirt, pants, hat), winter indoor facility practice time, spring and fall seasons (20 games). Total registration cost will be determined once each coach determines the amount of registered tournaments for their division.

Additional evaluation dates will take place in the spring for players interested in playing on all other 8U – 14U teams as those dates get closer.
