Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  What day of the week will practices and/or games be held for my age group?  And how long is the season?

A:  It depends on the coach's personal schedule, field availability, and which division you're playing in.  Tee ball and machine pitch kids typically practice twice a week, on weeknights, with games also twice a week.  Their season typically starts mid to late April (for machine pitch) or early May (for tee ball), with games beginning before Memorial Day and wrapping up before Independence Day.  The older levels for baseball will start practicing right around spring break.  Their season may go as late as the middle to end of July, depending on the preferences of the coaches and player families.  Softball divisions usually start practicing late March to mid April, and the season starts the first week of June and ends in mid July.

Q:  My child's birthdate puts them into a division different from most of their classmates.  Can they move up and play at the same level as their friends?

A:  We have to wait and see what the numbers look like at each age level before we are ever able to fully commit to this, but we often are able to accommodate these requests.  If this is something you'd like to request, please add a note to the comments indicating such when registering.

Q:  The size uniform I ordered for my child doesn't fit.  Can I get a replacement?

A:  To order a replacement please get in touch with us ASAP at [email protected]…the sooner the better.  There will be a fee to handle the cost of the new uniform.

Q: My son is eligible to play 8U machine pitch and 8U kid pitch. What division should I sign him up for?

A: We go into more detail about the differences between those divisions here.

Q: I want to coach or get move involved with youth baseball or softball in Mason. How can I do that?

A: Shoot us an email at [email protected]. Our board members and league volunteers change to some degree every year as kids age out of our program, so it's critical that we get new volunteers from the younger age groups to help lead the way into the future of the club.
