Have you ever thought about coaching in our league, or are you a coach now? Academy Little League is hosting a Coaches Roundtable on Tuesday, January 16th from 6-7 PM at Doherty High School (Spartan Room). Our hopes are to mix existing coaches with those who are considering coaching this year and to talk development. If successful, we may make this a regular focused meetings/clinics where we can discuss specific skills like pitching, catching, hitting, etc.
Our first meeting will be very informal. It will be an opportunity to discuss what it takes to be a successful coach, share best practices, have open discussion on what is all involved, and to build support for our very important resources, our coaches. For those who are just considering coaching, not knowing what it takes, this is an opportunity to get some answers, meet league officials, make the connections to help you through the process, and help you in your decision.
We believe this is a real opportunity for our league. We are fortunate to have a lot of coaching talent and we know there are many out there who are ready to take the next step. So please consider joining a couple of experienced coaches and board members, Player’s Agent Mark Leasure and Vice President Todd White for our first Coaches Roundtable on Tuesday, January 16th at Doherty High School. We would appreciate all the support we can get from our existing coaches and we look forward to meeting those who are considering coaching this year, or sometime in the future.
