Classic Format & Philosophy of Play
MSI Classic offers a more competitive level of play for players in age groups U10 through U19. It is a "select" program, in which players must try out and be selected for teams, and is a house league, with all teams, players and volunteer coaches participating as “members” of the MSI organization. The Classic Program embraces and promotes the same values and principles as other MSI programs - each child’s enjoyment, skill development, personal growth, passion for the game, team experience and sportsmanship. MSI Classic teams are deemed to be organized by and for the benefit of the youth players that make up each team. They are managed by the parents of the players with a democratic approach to all decisions.

Program Format
The baseline intent is for the Spring 2023 season to be run according to the historic format, with practices and league games. There is the possibility that local health regulations may require a modified approach and a modified format, and MSI will comply with those regulations and develop a game-day format that is consistent with them. This modified format will include regular game-play, if that is what is allowed, or will include modified activities with a competitive element, as appropriate.
