Commitment:

• Please check your calendar before registering.  TOPSports prides itself on the relationship building that takes place between an athlete and his/her buddy.  Relationships take time to build. If you cannot commit to at least 5 of the 8 week season, another volunteer opportunity may be more appropriate for you.

• Weekly, timely (by Thursday evening) communication with the registrar regarding your attendance.  Finding out on Saturday morning at 7:30 am that you can’t make it is not conducive to our mission. 

• Please pay attention to the new “Need Verification of Service Hours” Waiver in the registration process and read the Volunteer Policy below.

• Buddies new to TOPSports will need to take the NJYS mandatory training for TOPSoccer.  There is ONE training session scheduled for Tuesday, 9.3.19, from 6-8 pm @ William Wilt Soccer Complex.

Registering:

• Create an account at www.TOPSportsnj.org and then register for the program, TOPSoccer BUDDY 2019. Register with a valid email that will be checked  weekly.

• If you are not in 7th grade or will not turn 13 by the start of the basketball season, your registration will not go through.  

• Use a computer to register, not a phone or tablet.

• On your home account page, do NOT click on the volunteer tab; stay on the “my account” page, see attached screen shot. 

• If you are volunteering, no matter your age, register as a buddy, not as an “assistant coach.”
