The Henlopen/Delmarva Alliance U16 & U17 boys’ soccer team clinched the U.S. Youth Soccer State Cup Championship May 12. This team will advance to the USYS East Regional tournament in Virginia in late June. They will play teams from the East Coast and Mid-Atlantic representing Maine through Virginia. 

The team comprises the best players from Cape Henlopen, Indian River, Sussex Tech, Sussex Central, Sussex Academy, Smryna and Stephan Dectaur high schools. The majority of the players are scholarship athletes and are truly ambassadors of eastern shore Delmarva.

The team members thank Schell Brothers for their ongoing support providing transportation to tournaments. To cover accommodations and food, the team is fundraising, and community support is greatly appreciated.
