2017-2018 Season Comes to a Close

It has been a busy and exciting season, full of ups and downs, but it is finally coming to a close with our last Saturday of house league games and our end-of-year league picnic tomorrow, Saturday 6/2. We hope that all of you will join us to celebrate. Games will continue as scheduled between 9-12, and everyone is welcome to the picnic from 10-1.

All players will receive a coupon for a free meal, and siblings and parents can purchase chips and a drink for $2. Hot dogs are free with the $2 purchase of chips and a drink.

T-shirts for Sale
In addition, we will have Euclid Memorial Classic t-shirts for sale for only $5 each, and soccer socks for $2 / pair. Stock up and help us reduce our storage burden for the off-season. :)

ReBOOT Cleat Exchange
We will again be collecting used cleats for our ReBOOT program. If any player needs cleats they can have a pair from those that have been donated by other members of the league. This has been a great benefit to many families, especially when kids grow out of their shoes three times in one season! If you wish to donate, please clean the shoes and drop them off in a clear gallon ziplock bag with the shoe size written on the bag. We will also collect shoes through the summer at our monthly meetings (third Monday of each month).

Registration
Online registration for the 2018-2019 season will open tomorrow as well. The registration page on our website will be updated in conjunction with the opening of registration. As a reminder, our season follows the school year - it starts in the fall and continues through the spring. Regardless of when you signed up this year, you will need to register again for next year's season. Please contact Laura Bowser at [email protected] if you have any questions.

World Cup this Summer!
Over the summer we have the opportunity to enjoy the World Cup which will take place in Russia. Games start on June 14 and culminate in the final match on July 15 at 11:00 am. We hope you have an opportunity to watch some of the games with your kids. We would love to hear by email or on social media who your family is rooting for!

Thank you!
Finally, on behalf of the board of directors I would like to express my gratitude to all of our coaches and volunteers for their tireless efforts, and to all you parents for allowing EYSO and the game of soccer to be a part of your children's lives! Finally, we express a great deal of gratitude to Susan Hamilton (registrar) and Linda Gerstenberger (secretary) whose terms on the board have come to an end. They have both been pillars of the organization for many years and their service is greatly appreciated. We welcome Mike French (house director), Laura Bowser (registrar), Chris Brown (director of fields), and Camille Johnson (secretary), newly elected members of the board whose terms will begin as this season ends tomorrow. Thank you to all those who help in so many large and small ways!

Again, we look forward to seeing you tomorrow and hope you have a wonderful summer. We hope to see you on the pitch again in the fall!
