Hello Crossfire Family!  Below is an update for the GA Shootout II Tournament:

TOURNAMENT 7/25 & 26:  This weekend we will be playing in the Georgia Shootout II Tournament in Kennesaw.  Below you will find the link to the tournament webpage that has the schedule, field location, waiver, etc. 

Please make sure you have completed your waiver via the above website!  The tournament admin contacted us and said many were missing.  The system will shut down at noon today.  Please don't delay!  No waiver, no play!   

Always allow yourself plenty of time to ensure you arrive at the time your coach has instructed! Most coaches typically want you at the field about an hour before your game.  

Bring plenty of water, gatorade and snacks for your player.  We are unable to have shared food/drinks due to the coronavirus.  iF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL, HAVE A FEVER, OR ARE EXHIBITING COVID-19 SYMPTOMS, STAY HOME!

FROM THE TOURNAMENT MGMT:  
All spectators while on campus are encouraged to wear a mask and practice social distancing when in a crowd of more than your immediate family.  When standing in line for food or vendors, please stand 6 feet apart and wear a mask.

No Team Tents will be allowed.  You can bring an umbrella for sideline shade.  Pop up shade is allowed for individual families. Please do no have non household member under a tent with you.

No community food, water/Gatorade coolers may be used – do not set up tables for food.  There will be a licensed food truck and shaved ice on site if you need to purchase a lunch/dinner.  You may bring a cooler for your personal needs – water, snacks and ice.

Please completely clean up after yourself both on the sidelines and at any tent.

Only go to the game field at the time of your game, and leave as soon as your game ends to avoid crowd gathering

Make sure to bring enough ice and water for your player.  We will not have access to either at the complex and have been advised that sharing water or food does not adhere to safe practices.

When on the sidelines, please keep families six feet apart.  Especially when cheering loudly.  It is recommended you wear a mask when doing so.

Please download the Tourney Machine App on your smart phone and sign up for text alerts for this event.  In the event of weather or other happenings, this is how we will communicate.

To limit the amount of contact our tournament staff has – all questions of the tournament need to be directed to your coach or director who will in turn discuss with staff.

ATTIRE:  We encourage everyone to support our teams by wearing Crossfire attire or the color orange.  Please...we do not want to see high school or other lax program attire...WE ARE CROSSFIRE!!!

CODE OF CONDUCT:  As a participant of Crossfire, we expect each player and parent to comply with our  Code of Conduct.  Please take the time to discuss this as a family heading into the tournament weekend.   We want to prevent any issues and want to remind everyone that you represent our club, our area and our families at the tournaments…have pride in CROSSFIRE!

Positivity is the key in cheering from the sidelines...negative comments about players, refs are not appropriate.  Crossfire Lacrosse believes strongly in the concept of sportsmanship and the core principles of respect, trustworthiness, responsibility, fairness, caring, and good citizenship.

I agree to:

• support my player, their teammates and their coach's efforts at all times,
• cheer encouragements to my player and his teammates but NOT instructions,
• respect the opponent's players, coaches, fans and game officials at all times; be a role model of a fan!
• avoid any confrontation with game officials, coaches or opposing team parents,
• refrain from any unsportsmanlike and poor parenting behavior including verbal or physical abuse of players, coaches, game officials and spectators, before, during and after games.
