WASHINGTON – DC Stoddert Soccer Travel teams had strong showings this past weekend in the first round of end-of-season tournaments. Teams competed in both the Columbia Fall Classic (Md.) and the North Carolina Youth Showcase Series (N.C.).

In the Columbia Fall Classic, the Boys U12 Blue Team swept all matches winning their final match in the White Bracket 3-1 over Penn FC (Penn.). U12 Red also won their bracket with a hard fought 3-2 win over Lutherville Timonium SC (Md.). The U11 Red Boys were runners up, after losing a the final 2-1 to Pipeline SC (Md.)

U9 Red also finished as runners up in the Columbia Fall Classic to Pasadena SC (Md.), while U13 Blue had a commanding final match against SAC (Md.) to win the U13 White Bracket. All but one high school team reached their Finals with U15 and U17 teams reaching the final and the U18 boys topping Arundel Juventus 4-3.

DC Stoddert Girls Teams traveled to North Carolina to compete in the North Carolina Youth Showcase Series (formerly CASL). U11 Blue won the Premier Silver Division with a commanding three goal lead. Girls U14 Blue also won their division.

DC Stoddert teams will be back in action next weekend with the Girls Columbia Fall Classic and the second weekend of the NC Youth Showcase Series.
