The second-day games of the 2019 National Presidents Cup took place in Murfreesboro, Tenn. on Friday. The U18 DC Stoddert Blue Metros (MD) won a nice, 3-2, victory over California Rush Cinza 01 in the team’s second game. Alexander Cirino, Lukas Huntington, and Andres Kelly all had goals in the win for Stoddert. Despite two goals from the California squad, DC Stoddert held the lead through the final whistle to earn a full three points California Rush Cinza 01 its second straight loss in the tournament.

When asked after the game about the team’s early success at the Presidents Cup, Team Captain Alexander Cirinio said, “It feels great. Being with the team these past few days, you can really see how much being at Nationals really means to us and how good it is to our club. And I’m just really glad to be a leader for this team and to be a part of this experience.”

With the 3-2 win, Stoddert currently sits in first place in the table. The Blue Metros squad will take on second place West Texas Rush Sharks White on Saturday.
