Rule Changes
We have a few updates to our league that we want to pass on.
Spring 2023 Updates
13/14 and 15/18 Registration
In an attempt to better manage our 13/14 and 15/18 divisions for the spring season, registration will be slightly different. All registering players will be placed on a waiting list without having to pay the registration fee until our team counts are set for the season.
Since our 13/14 and 15/18 divisions do not start their season until the second week of May due to the school baseball season, this will give us plenty of time to allow for our school ball players to register for the season before spots fill up. More communication will be sent to those divisions sooner to the season start dates.
Fall 2022 Updates
Mercy Rule Update
When it is mathematically impossible for a team to catch-up after one-hour of play and all players on both teams have had at least one at-bat, the umpire will give the coach of the losing team the option to call the game early or to keep playing until regulation time (70 minutes) has expired. (Coach Pitch divisions only - T-Ball will play by regular time limit.
9/10 Only Stealing Update
Base Runners may only advance when the ball is batted into play or when a pitch passes the catcher on a passed ball or wild pitch.
5/6 Division Pitch Count Update
In 5/6 Coach Pitch, the coach must pitch 4 pitches to the batter before allowing a batter to use the tee. The coach can go to the tee at any point after throwing 4 pitches.
7/8 Division Pitch Distance Update
In 7/8 Coach Pitch Division, the coach-pitcher must position themselves no closer to the batter than two feet in front of the pitching circle to start their delivery to the batter.
On-Field Volunteer Update
Each team will be allowed no more than five (5) adults in the dugout to coach the team and/or manage the dugout. In 5/6 Coach Pitch, no more than three (3) adults in the outfield while on defense. In 7/8 Coach Pitch, no more than two (2) adults in the outfield while on defense.
