Signal Mountain Soccer League will follow or exceed guidance from Hamilton County Health Department and medical experts at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
NON-VACCINATED CHILDREN OR ADULTS WITH A HOUSEHOLD MEMBER OR CLOSE CONTACT WHO HAS A POSITIVE TEST OR SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19
Do not come to practice, games, or SMSL events if you have been in close contact (within 6 feet of someone for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period) with someone who has COVID-19, unless you have been fully vaccinated. This applies to the household as well as the classroom, especially if the health department has quarantined the child from going to school.
The Tennessee Department of Health allows for a return 10 days after your last contact with a person who has COVID-19 as long as you remain symptom-free and have had no positive test. You can shorten the quarantine to 7 days with a negative COVID test taken 3-5 days after exposure to the positive person. Notify the club by emailing [email protected]

FULLY VACCINATED PEOPLE WITH NO SYMPTOMS BUT HAVE A HOUSEHOLD MEMBER WITH SUSPECTED OR CONFIRMED COVID-19
Fully vaccinated people who have come into close contact with someone with COVID-19 should be tested 3-5 days following the date of their exposure and wear a mask in public indoor settings for 14 days or until they receive a negative test result. They should not come to the field if they test positive. Most fully vaccinated people with no COVID-like symptoms do not need to quarantine or be restricted from work following an exposure to someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19, if they follow the testing and masking recommendation above.
FULLY VACCINATED PEOPLE WITH COVID-19 SYMPTOMS
Although the risk that fully vaccinated people could become infected with COVID-19 is low, any fully vaccinated person with COVID-19 symptoms or a positive COVID-19 test should not come to any SMSL practices, games, or events until they have tested negative for COVID-19. To be clear, a non-vaccinated person with COVID-19 symptoms or a positive COVID-19 test should not come to the fields or any SMSL event.
FULLY VACCINATED PEOPLE WITH NO COVID-19-LIKE SYMPTOMS AND NO KNOWN EXPOSURE TO SOMEONE WITH SUSPECTED OR CONFIRMED COVID-19
It is recommended that fully vaccinated people with no COVID-19-like symptoms and no known exposure should be exempted from routine screening testing programs, if feasible.
WHEN TO NOTIFY THE CLUB
If a player, coach, or staff member suspects they could have COVID-19 symptoms and/or tests positive for COVID-19, they should notify club leadership via this form immediately so proper protocols may begin. If a non-vaccinated player, coach, or staff member is in the same household as someone who has tested positive or has symptoms of COVID-19 they should also complete this form.
WHAT ABOUT MASKS?
The CDC website states "Current data suggest the risk of transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in outdoor settings is minimal. In general, fully vaccinated people do not need to wear a mask outdoors. Fully vaccinated people might choose to wear a mask in crowded outdoor settings if they or someone in their household is immunocompromised.
