Meet Our Coaches

We are here to provide you and your family with the best club volleyball experience possible! We are proud to bring you a group of highly accomplished coaches and teachers. Read the bios below to learn more about your coach and other leaders in our community.

Bryan Johnston Club Director/ 18-1 National Head Coach
Bryan Johnston serves as our Director and has coached nearly every age group imaginable for IVC. This will be his 2nd season with our 18s.

Shelby Foyer

18-1 National Assistant Coach

Shelby has been around volleyball in some capacity since she was young. This is her 5th season coaching club volleyball, 2nd at Intensity. After playing collegiately at UCF (GO KNIGHTS) she coached 1 season of college volleyball for Jacksonville University.

When she is not in the IVC gym, you can find her reading, adventuring outdoors, or sewing. If you can’t find Shelby doing any of the above, she is working for Mizuno Volleyball where she has worked for the past 4 years.

Katelyn Messick 18-1 National Assistant Coach
Katelyn will be returning for her second year at IVC. She helped assistant coach our 15-1 team last year! Katelyn played club volleyball in Orlando and then attended UCF where she continued to play competitive club volleyball for UCF’s club team. In her spare time she works as a Site Director for Pine Cove.

U17 Coaches

Erin Krause

17-1 National Head Coach

Coach Erin is back for a third season as the 17-1s coach. Erin played both in high school and collegiately. She continued her volleyball career at Piedmont college where she was an outside hitter. Erin has consistently had top performing teams, securing top 5 & 10 finishes in both tournaments and the region.

Erin brings a ton of energy and experience to IVC and we can't wait to see what she does with another year of 17s!

Hannah Simpson

17-2s Head Coach

Hannah Simpson returns as our 17-2s Head Coach! Hannah has been playing volleyball for 11 years. Hannah was an OH/6 position player at Truett McConnell University when she was voted team captain and MVP over a three year college career. She still holds many records at Truett McConnell!

Hannah is currently in PT school studying to be a physical therapist in St. Augustine. She loves her dog, orange theory workouts, cold brew coffee, and all things volleyball.

U16 Coaches

Richard Accardi

16-1 National Head Coach

Coach Richard is back for another season as our 16-1's Head Coach! Richard has been coaching at IVC for 9 years from ages U13-U17. He started his career on the sand courts and moved to coaching intramural teams in college. He has been successful at every age group with countless tournament wins, top 5s, and top 10 finishes in club and power brackets.

When Richard is not coaching, he is spending time with his wife, 5 year old princess, and 3 month old little buddy.

Helen White 16-2s Head Coach
Helen White will return as our 16-2s Head Coach this year. This will be her third year with Intensity. She played in college at Truett McConnell University. She still plays recreationally. We are excited to have her back for another season!

Ashley Fannon 16-3s Head Coach
Ashley Fannon will be leading our 16-3s this year! Ashley has an abundance of experience in the volleyball world. Ashley played volleyball in college at Piedmont College. Ashley also has coached club volleyball at NAVC as well as high school volleyball at Dunwoody High School and Harrison High School. Ashley looks to have a great first season with IVC!

U15 Coaches

AJ Jones

15-1 National Head Coach

Coach AJ is returning as IVC's 15-1 National Team Head Coach. She has been successfully coaching at IVC for seven years with numerous tournament wins, top 5s, and top 10s. Coach AJ has been playing volleyball since she was 13 years old. She played as an outside + middle on her high school Varsity team and club teams. She continued to play in college at the University of North Georgia on their club team as an outside. She was also a member of UNG’s rowing club team.

in addition to IVC, Coach AJ has served at Kings Ridge Christian School for four years now as JV Head Coach, Varsity Assistant, and current Head Coach and working as an Assistant to the AD. In her free time, Coach AJ likes watching football with her husband and taking their dog Keke to the dog park.

Lauren Corsillo

15-2s Head Coach

We’d like you all to meet Coach Lauren Corsillo! Lauren graduated from Walsh University (Ohio) and played from 2001-2004 on the Women's Volleyball Team. Walsh won two consecutive Conference championships, competed in three consecutive NAIA National Championships Tournaments, received NAIA Title IX honors and set Hall of Fame records. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame in October 2013.

While working towards her Master's Degree in Community Mental Health Counseling (John Carroll University) Lauren was a graduate Assistant/Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach and Director of Energetics Volleyball (JO Club in Highland Heights.) She also has previous experience coaching numerous seasons of high school volleyball. She also currently coaches JV at King's Ridge Christian School.

Cassie Nix

15-3s Head Coach

This will be Cassie's 3rd season coaching club with IVC. Previously, she has been the Head Coach for the 15-4s and 15-3s teams. Cassie has been playing volleyball since middle school and helped her high school team become top 8 in the state. She then played for fun through intramurals with UGA.

By day, Cassie serves as the Operations and Systems Manager for ProRisk Solutions. In her spare time, you can find her crafting, hiking, and hanging with her two dogs and husband.

U14 Coaches

Resa "Ray" Knott

14-1 National Head Coach

We are excited to welcome back Coach Ray as our 14-1 Head Coach! This will be coach Ray's 5th season with IVC. She has helped assist our 14-1s teams, including two trips to AAU Nationals, and secured a few notable wins in her time as a head coach. Previously she played middle for Lemoyne Owen and Agnes Scott College where she was voted MVP, spent time on the leaderboards in hitting percentages for the USA South Athletic Conference AND was named All Conference Team member!

Ray loves dogs and is passionate about neuroscience. She is currently an EMT and is looking to return to school to become a PA. We look forward to another great season with Coach Ray!

Katie Bailey

14-2s Head Coach

This year we are excited to welcome Katie Bailey as our 14-2s Head Coach! Katie has been coaching volleyball in total for 11 years. The past 5 years she has been the varsity head coach at Providence. She hit 100 wins last year at Providence and also became the coach with the most wins for volleyball in Providence history last year.

This is Katie's first season coaching club and we know she will do amazing things!

U13 Coaches

Hannah Laible

13-1 National Head Coach

Hannah Laible is returning as our 13-1 Head Coach! This will be her fifth season with Intensity! Hannah started as the 14-2 before moving to the 13s age group. As a Head Coach, she has led her teams to several tournament wins and notable finishes.

She played collegiate volleyball at Covenant College as an opposite. During the school season, she coaches the JV Team at Lambert High School. Currently she is the Director of Camp Kerusso, an outdoor day camp on Lake Lanier and lives in Duluth with her husband, baby boy, and two dogs.

Heather Wright

13-2s Head Coach

We are welcoming Heather Wright back as our 13-2 Head Coach this season! Heather started coaching in 2013 as the Middle School Head Coach for South Forsyth where she still coaches. She is IMPACT and Safe Sport certified, and has attended the Art Of Coaching- learning from the top NCAA collegiate coaches.

This will be her 3rd season at Intensity, where she has served as Head Coach for our 16-3s and last year 13-1s. Previously, she was the 14-1 Coach at Metro Volleyball Club. We are excited to have Heather back for another season!

Abi Hendrix 13-3s Head Coach
Abi Hendrix will be back at IVC this year as the 13-3s Head Coach! Last year Abi assisted with the 15-2s team. Abi played volleyball from 5th grade until her senior year of high school and has a few intramural championships under her belt from college. In her free time, Abi works full time at a summer camp. She loves her job and loves getting to teach and coach volleyball!

U12 Coaches

Agenna Mathley

12-1s Head Coach

Agenna returns for another season as the 12-1 Head Coach! Agenna has been very successful as our 12-1 head coach for the past several years, earning multiple tournament wins. She has also coached other ages at IVC as well!

Outside of IVC Agenna coaches the Varsity Volleyball team at North Atlanta Christian Flight. During her time there she has led her team to successful seasons, including a State Championship in 2014.

Allison Flynn

12-2s Head Coach

We are very excited to announce Ally Flynn as our 12-2 Head Coach! Ally is a freshman at Kennesaw State University and majoring in business management. She has been playing volleyball for 10 years and was a four year Varsity player at Chattahoochee High School.

Ally has been coaching Jr. Cougar A & B team this year and coached at the IVC youth academy for 2 seasons. She is also an assistant coach for the Chattahoochee Boys Volleyball team.
