Dear HarrisonCoaches, Parents, and Players,

Executive Order No. 149, issued on May 29, 2020, permitted sporting activities, including organized sports to resume on June 22, 2020. Permissible sporting activities must take place in outdoor settings only in a manner that does not involve person-to-person contact or routinely entail individuals interacting within six feet of one another, and may not resume until June 22, 2020 or later. On June 22, 2020 teams may choose to hold a NON CONTACT PRACTICE only at William WiltSoccerComplex. Each team will need to adhere to the guidelines set forth by the New Jersey Department of Health and NJYS. In order to participate a player, coach, staff, shall showNo signs or symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 14 days and have no known exposure to someone that has been ill in 14 days. Each team will have a designated field space on a specific night and time so that they are socially distance from other teams. Each participant, player/coach, will need to sign and return theCovid-19 hold harmless agreement found hereto their coach before the first day back on the field. Each participant will need to take the  HarrisonSC Screening HealthQuestionnaire prior to training or team event. NOTE THE RESTROOMS AT WILLIAM WILT WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL AT LEAST AUGUST 1ST. Please use your bathroom prior to arrival at theSoccerComplex.

Coach Responsibilities:

  • Collect and keep a record of the hold harmless agreement for every player and staff on your team.
  • Maintain an attendance log of each training session until further notice.
  • Coaches will ask each player upon arrival if he/she completed the health questionnaireprior to training. If he/she has answered yes to any of the questions he/she should be sent home immediately. If he/she is experiencing any signs or symptoms of Covid-19 (seeCDC website) including, but not limited to cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, he/she should be sent home immediately and instructed to contact his/her healthcare provider as soon as possible.
  • All coaches are to wear face coverings, are to use their own equipment, and maintain physical distancing from players. All equipment shall be disinfected before and after training. Should more than one person come in contact with the equipment during training the equipment should be disinfected immediately. The coach is the only one that will handle the movement of his/her equipment.
  • Arrive early to properly set up your designated field space with the recommended social distant training guidelines.
  • When welcoming the players adhere to the minimum 6 feet socially distance guidelines. Instruct the players where to place their equipment so it does not interfere with another teammate’s required space.
  • Shall follow all return to play protocols.
  • Be understanding to parents and players that may delay returning to play.

Players:

  • Bring and use hand sanitizerto every training or team related event.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly before coming to training and after training.
  • Players should use their own equipment and properly sanitize the equipment before and after every training session. At no time should the player use their hands to pick up another player’ssoccerball.
  • Place bags and equipment at least 6 feet apart from other's belongings.
  • Players must use their own water bottle, towel and any other personal hygiene products. No sharing.
  • Playerswaiting for their training session should remain in their cars until just before the beginning of their training session. Players are encouraged, but not mandated, to wear face covering when exiting their vehicle and walking to team training area. Players should NOT wear face covering when participating in physical activities.
  • Players should not physically contact teammates before, during or after training. No fist bumps, high fives, hugs, handshakes, etc.

Parents:

  • Ensure your child is healthy and complete thehealth questionnairebefore each player’s scheduled training time or team related event. If he/she answers yes to any of the questions he/she will need to stay home.
  • Be sure your child has necessary sanitizing products and water with them at every training or team related event.
  • Ensure washing of hands takes place before and after every training or team related event.
  • Ensure clothes and equipment are sanitized before and after every training or team related event.
  • Parents are asked to stay in their vehicles or adhere to social distance requirements based on state and local health requirements.
  • Notify theclubimmediately if your child becomes ill with Covid-19 like symptoms.

 

When training ends, the players, coaches should promptly gather their equipment and move to their transportation as soon as practical and adhere best to social distancing.

Every Coach, Player, Parent, and Staff shall follow theCDC guidelinesand those ofNJ Department of Health.
