The Harrisonburg Little League continues to thrive season after season thanks to our hardworking volunteers. Please consider getting involved and making HLLA a better organization for you and your child.
The HLLA is seeking volunteers for the following events:
Registration Day- Volunteers are needed to help people sign up to play ball. Please arrive a few minutes early for set up. We are also in need of an interpreter.
Skills Evaluation Day- On this day we look for volunteers to help with registration and people to help run drills with the children
Opening day- Opening Day volunteers help to set up, hand out programs, supervise the bounce house, paint faces, man the apparel tent, operate the concession stand, organize the raffle tent and much more.
Bat-a-thon- Volunteers are needed for the concession stand, apparel tent, check in table, runner, and for shagging balls on the field
Volunteers may also get involved on a committee:
Opening Day committee- Meets once or twice at the beginning of the season and goes over everything that needs to be done to prepare for the big day.
Bat-a-thon Committee- Meets once or twice at the beginning of the season to go over everything that needs to be done to prepare for the day
Fundraising Committee- This group meets a few times a season to organizes fundraisers.
Sponsor Committee- Sponsor committee helps look for sponsors and for businesses that are interested in donating to the raffle or being on our league discount card. We may or not meet during the season. In most cases you can just email and let us know what sponsor you found for what.
