Weather Emergencies

We want to clarify what happens when bad weather happens at the park during games.

First – here is a link to the page of our rules related to weather emergencies.  Click HERE.  Please read!

In the event that the Winnebago County Emergency sirens are activated, all games will stop immediately with all individuals asked to move to their cars and wait.

Please note that even when people are asked to go to their cars, we would like parents & players to remain at the park to make sure we cannot re-start the game, BUT remember that NO ONE can take away your decision-making rights in regard to your own safety or that of your children.

If we do attempt to re-start a game, but enough players have left the park so that is not possible, the game will be considered either (a) a complete game if the correct number of innings was played OR (b) a suspended game if not enough innings were played to make it a complete game.  NO RE-STARTED GAME WILL EVER BE CALLED A FORFEIT.

The Park Manager is responsible for making the decision to stop play because we do NOT want a game continuing on one diamond while all the other fields are shutdown.  If players are asked to stay in the dugout for a delay, parents may wish for them to wait in their cars.  That is acceptable.

AGAIN REMEMBER THAT NO OFFICIAL AT ROY GAYLE CAN TAKE AWAY YOUR AUTHORITY OVER THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILD.
