2017 Spring Schedule

Please keep in mind these dates are tentative; they may change due to registration numbers, weather cancellations and scheduling conflicts with other leagues.

2/17- Coaches meeting

2/20-2/25 Team Drafts

3/6- Practice starts

4/24- Games begin

(Games will be scheduled during EOG's)

6/10- End of season

June- SJBA  invitational ( additional fee)

July- SWAC tournament

Age Division

Age division is determined by the players age as of May 1, 2017

  • Age 7-8: Coach Pitch – Maximum number of players per team: 12; 4 coaches.
  • Age 9-10: Kid Pitch – Maximum number of players per team: 11; 3 coaches.
  • Age 11-12: Kid Pitch – Maximum number of players per team: 12; 3 coaches.
  • Age 13-15: Kid Pitch – Maximum number of players per team: 13; 3 coaches.

 


$90 Registration fee 
covers uniforms (hat and shirt), umpires, game balls, field maintenance, and two tickets to AL Family Fun Night at the Mudcats Stadium***.

***As a no-hassle fundraiser we will have a Mudcats Night at Five County Stadium.  There will be a mandatory fee of $20 added to each player’s registration (for a total of $90).  This fee will provide each player with 2 tickets to the selected game. Additional tickets may be purchased once the date has been set.  All tickets sales associated with the Archer Lodge Community Center on that night will help raise more money for the program. We had a blast last year and hope you will join us.


Coaches will be provided practice balls and catchers equipment.


Players will need to provide bat, glove, helmet, pants, and cleats.

League information

  • Archer Lodge will participate in the East Wake Youth Baseball League.
  • Teams in the league include Wendell Parks and Rec, Knightdale Parks and Rec, Zebulon Parks and Rec, Rolesville Park and Rec, Louisburg Parks and Rec, and Nash County Parks and Rec
  • NC High School Athletic Association and Tar Heel League Inc. rules will govern except for rules covered in the local league rules.
  • Game days and times TBD based upon registration numbers and field availability – teams will play at other facilities in the area in addition to Archer Lodge. 
  • There will be a draft to attempt to balance the teams if there is more than 1 team in a division. If a player is unable to attend the draft, they will still be placed on a team.

All-Stars


7/8 Division

The coaches will collectively select who they believe to be the top 10-12 players.

The ALCC baseball director will select head coach for the team.

They will play in the SJBA invitational tournament.

If 10 of the selected players cannot commit to the dates of the tournament, the team will not play.

If the selected team is unable to play in the tournament they will be provided t-shirts that acknowledge their selection to the team.

The cost for each player will be $XX.  This cost will cover the all-star jersey and 1/2 cost of the tournament fee.  

Team will wear the same hats as season play.

The ALCC baseball program will cover 1/2 the cost of the tournament fee.

9/10 and 11/12 Divisions

The coaches will collectively select who they believe to be the top 9-11 players.

The ALCC baseball director will select head coach for the team.

The team will play in the SWAC sectional tournament, with possible advancement to the SWAC state tournament.  Location will be determined at a later date by SWAC.  These tournaments may require overnight stays.

The team will have the option to play in the SJBA invitational tournament for additional fees.

Players must be available for play for both the SWAC tournament dates.

The cost for each player will be $XX.  This cost will cover the all-star jersey.

Team will wear the same hats as season play.

The ALCC baseball program will cover the cost of the SWAC tournament fee.
