Spring 2018

Enrollment:  We currently have 89 girls registered that are participating on 8 teams.  We have 2 teams at the T-ball level, 2 teams @ 2/3 grade, 1 team @ 4/5 grade, 2 teams @ 6-8 grade and 1-12U Pirettes team.  TAA SB welcomes our sisters in softball from Chatsworth, Southampton and Pemberton so that they have opportunity to play softball this season since there weren’t enough girls in their own towns at each level to create teams.

Softball Season is already underway:  Opening day was enjoyed by one and all and everyone was looking great in their game day best as picture night went off without a hitch.  Thanks to Pete Damiri for all of his help emceeing Opening Day and helping to organize Picture Night.  The Shawnee-Seneca Conference SB games began April 9 and by all reports, things have been going well.

Snack Stand, Fields & Equipment:  Our new snack stand passed the Board of Health Inspection on April 5, 2018 and the well at Patty Bowker passed all annual water tests for coliform and nitrates.   The UTV has been tuned up by Mike Massey it's working great!!.  Mike also engineered some ramps that make in easier for our coaches to get the UTV in and out of the seabox.  Our dedicated Tabernacle Twp. DPW crew rehabilitated Field 3 at Pricketts Mill (Corner Field, lowest lying) by fixing the burm, removing unwanted infield grass, adding some infield mix and resetting the bases.  All of our Tabernacle fields and batting cage look beautiful and the coaches are doing a great job maintaining them.  New bats, T's and 10 new helmets were added the SB program and lots of indoor training equipment for our indoor SB/BB clinics and practices.

2018 Hoodie Fundraiser:  Based upon the popularity of the coaches hoodies this year, we are also offering the hoodies to our SB fans. Choose the green or gold sleeve option to show support of your softball player from elementary to middle school and on to Seneca HS.  Please visit this link and make your purchases ASAP.  The sale ends May 12, 2018. All proceeds will go toward our Sisters in Softball fund.

May 9, 2018 "Sisters in Softball" event at Seneca HS. Youth SB players from TAA, STRAA, IMAA and all middle school teams have been invited to attend.  All players (youth, MS and HS) are asked to purchase a $5 pair golden for the event.  $4 of each $5 purchase will directly benefit families in NJ that are struggling with a diagnosis of pediatric cancer.  All youth and HS players will Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer by wearing their laces to the Seneca game and for the remainder of season to support TAA SB fundraising efforts to raise money for the Go 4 the Goal campaign.  Each youth SB player will also adopt a big sister for the day.  Youth teams will bring posters, cards, pennants that they make to support their big sisters as the Seneca HS Varsity team faces off against Winslow Twp. Melissa Daniels, TAA 2/3 grade SB coach, is helping me make this event a success.

Go 4 the Goal:  If you know of anyone that would like to help TAA SB by donating more than $5 toward our Lace up 4 Pediatric Cancer fundraiser this year, please visit and share this link to our webpage.  Our fundraising goal this year is $1,000 so please reach out to anyone you feel might be interested in helping us reach our goal.
